Hey, Hi, Hello

I am Jude, a creative with an interesting journey in design.

I am a UX Designer that studied Industrial Product Design at Otis, and I spent the last 10+ as a fashion designer for leading apparel brands.

I have a strong understanding of design principles and a passion for understanding the insights and goals of users. I strive to solve problems using data and empathizing with my user to make complex problems look simple.

Prior to UX design, I was a fashion designer for 10 years, helping leading apparel brands connect with consumers through design and research. My goal is to leverage my diverse experience from fashion using UX design thinking to create beautiful, intuitive, and inclusive designs that can positively impact other people's lives.

When I am not designing you can find me playing with my 3 dogs, chasing my 2 kids around, or doing some fun home DIY project.

My Design Process

Collaboration and communication are at the heart of my design philosophy. I am driven by the belief that diverse perspectives fuel creativity and drive better outcomes.

See below for how I approach design problems.

  • Define the Problem

I like to ask a series of important questions to better understand the problem I am solving for.

    * What are the main goals of this project?

    * Who is the end-user of this product?

    * What is the pain point that this product will address?

    * How will this product address the pain point?

    * What resources will you need to complete this project?

    * How will you measure success?

    * What is this product's unique value proposition?

    * Are there similar products on the market?

    * How will this be better than similar products on the market?

  • Conduct Research

Next I dive further into my user with surveys, interviews and competitive research.

    * Why would a user choose this product?

    * How often will a user realistically use this product?

    * What other solutions to this pain point has the user tried?

    * Where do users generally shop for similar products?

    * What changes would make an existing product better serve the user?

  • Brainstorm and Conceptualize

With all that information to lay a good foundation for my design, I now start creating user personas, scenarios and storyboards to help me get a clear user perspective to outline my product’s development and marketing strategy.

  • Create a prototype

Test my concepts by creating wireframes and reviewing with stakeholders. Throughout this process, I find new areas improvement as well as user experience validation of my existing concepts.

  • Testing

User testing of my prototype will clarify answers to important questions as well as identify potential flaws or drawbacks. This feedback will help me troubleshoot and reiterate my prototype as many times as needed to produce a final product.

  • Improve

Gather all user feedback, prototype testing, competitor analysis and market sales to inform and improve upon my product. I use Ithis information to create a more customized solution to my clients unique problem or need.
